Construction Surveys

Construction Staking

Construction staking can be the most critical phase in success of a project. A clear understanding of the contractor or site needs by the survey crew is essential. To meet these needs, communication with the engineer, architect or owner and the contractor or site manager have always been a priority with C.C.S. Consultants. Experience in all phases of construction, pre-design to building, allows us a unique ability to understand more than just the staking of points.

Record Drawings

This is a survey to provide an accurate representation of post construction conditions for all types of completed improvements. Generally a record drawing is used for utilities such as sanitary sewer and water lines but can be created to show the final construction of surface improvements. These types of surveys can depict the location of neighboring utilities and existing surface features on a site to show a relation to the record improvements.

Quantities – Volumes

Quantities or volumes can be provided for all types of projects. Topographic information is utilized in the calculation of quantities and volumes on storm pond capacity, earth removal or placement, balancing overlot and roads, hall tickets, etc.

Design Surveys

An existing conditions map is provided to engineers, architects or contractors planning an expansion or modification to an existing facility, or underground utilities. Existing topographic information and location of surface features are provided along with sub-surface utilities. Boundary lines (easements, rights-of-way, etc.) are generally depicted. The accuracy of this information is prudent to the design of a project.
