Generally, survey data is collected on specific locations or points over time and compared to track any changes. Some examples of this type of survey are checking the movement of retaining walls, dams and bridges or
measuring water levels in wells or along irrigation ditches.
Geomatics – G.I.S. Mapping
Geomatics is a new term used for the gathering of geographic information. A geographic information system (G.I.S.) is a system for capturing, storing, analyzing and managing data which are referenced to the earth. G.I.S. is a tool that allows users to create interactive queries (user created searches), analyze the information, edit data and maps. Using G.P.S. and conventional survey methods we provide the data used in G.I.S. systems.
Control – Infrastructure
Cities, municipalities or project sites can require vertical and or horizontal control networks. A network can be system of vertical benchmarks throughout an area or reference points established for a specific project.
